Overall Purpose of this Role

We’re looking for a social-obsessed and culturally-connected Creator to join our Editorial team of social experts. (Read: come get paid for making cool shit for cool brands.)

As a platform expert, you’ll know what works on Reels vs. TikTok and be well-versed in the branded content guidelines for every platform. As a Creator, you’re only comfortable if you’re pushing the creative boundaries to come up with something unique and worthy of the audience’s attention. As a person, you can do everything from ideation to execution and selling ideas into clients (plus, be willing to take onboard their feedback).

You don’t have to have previous experience with a creative agency or dealing with clients (though obvs both are a bonus), but you do have to be pumped about creating content for our global clients who don’t follow social trends—they set them.

As well as creating content, you’ll also use your platform creds to provide guidance to clients who want to play in the creator space. You’ll also help support several clients and Editors with day-to-day scheduling, optimising and reporting.

This role is fluid, fast-paced and future-focused. You’ll need a ‘hell-yeah’ attitude to succeed and solve problems for clients (fast). You won’t just be creating branded content, you’ll be setting the standard for how brands connect and engage consumers.

We’re open to hearing from anyone who thinks ‘this is totally me’. We see the role being suited to someone with 1-3 years’ experience in creating content (personally or professionally), but don’t let that stop you applying if you fall outside of that.

We expect you to show confidence and competence in the key areas below:

  • Strong written and social media skills to support the social output for a number of global clients including Foxtel, Kayo, Kathmandu, The Woolmark Company and Audi.
  • A love and proven history of creating social content.
  • Has a knows-no-bounds creative mindset.
  • Ability to spot emerging social trends and turn them into compelling content ideas for a variety of clients.
  • An understanding of the ‘sweet spot’ between content the audience wants and what the client’s objectives are.
  • A desire to work with brands and represent the agency in market.
  • An ability to stick to deadlines and work within a budget and client parameters.
  • A champion of creativity from ideation through to production and posting.
  • Strong platform knowledge of all social channels especially TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.
  • A second-nature understanding of each social platforms’ benefits, limitations and workarounds.
  • A knack for knowing why something would work better on Reels over TikTok (or any platform feature vs. another platform feature).
  • The ability to think big, but also remember the tiny details, too.
  • An understanding of branded content best practices and a commitment to staying on top of them, understanding the commercial implications they have.
  • Comfortable working on multiple tasks at once and managing your time smartly.
  • An analytical brain that can pull insightful key learnings about how content performs.
  • Tapped into culture and current events, as well as platform updates.
  • Collaborative by nature, but also a self-starter who wants to learn and isn’t afraid to throw themselves into things.
  • Able to take feedback and clear direction in your stride.
  • A team player who wants to push for team success, as well as personal growth.
