Top Facebook Pages in Singapore – August 2012
Last week, we reported the top performing Facebook pages in Asia for the month of August in India, Indonesia, The Philippines, Pakistan and Malaysia. Socialbakers have just released the infographic for Singapore.
Caltex Singapore emerged as the brand page with the highest engagement for the month of August with an impressive daily page engagement rate of 45.7%, which is 7 times higher than the average daily engagement rate of the other brands in the list. In July, however, Caltex Singapore was not even in the list of top 10 engaging brands. A glance at the page’s August activities revealed that the highest engagement occurred between 5th August and 11th August, during which the page had more than 9,300 “People Talking About This”. The reason for this high engagement is likely a result of Caltex running an 18% off petrol promotion in lieu of Singapore’s National Day during this same period. In the latter half of the month, Caltex actively promoted its hourly store giveaways island-wide, which was also very inviting to fans.
