Facebook Creates an App to Win Influencers

Facebook has just announced a new app targeted specifically for influencers and content creators. The Facebook Creator app will allow them to create videos easily on Facebook along with an analytics tool. Announced just a few months after the launch of “Watch”, this is indicative of Facebook’s effort in trying to tap into the influencer space, competing with Youtube and Snapchat.

The Creator app is similar to Youtube’s creator app that allows influencers to access video metrics and page analytics that can help them work better with brands. In comparison, “Creator” includes creative tools to simplify the process of creating real-time live videos and as part of efforts to push for Facebook’s Live service.

The Creator app will also allow influencers to connect to Watch, for those who already has an official show on the platform.

Snapchat launches “Audience Filters” feature

Snapchat has introduced a new feature called “Audience Filters” which will allow brands to advertise their product to target users based on their age, gender, personal interests and even the time of day.

For example, the advertiser can run an Audience Filter campaign for their targeted audience with three different sponsored filters (in the morning, afternoon, evening) in the app.

This feature is actually unlike their geofilters which was launched back in June 2017.

Who needs coffee when you can have Porsche?

In Porsche’s latest campaign for their upcoming Hybrid sports car, the brand has targeted coffee drinkers desperately in need for something to wake them up.

To beat the perception that Hybrids are boring, Porsche installed hidden cameras in a coffee shop, with the barista offering something new on the menu: “the E-Jolt”. Little did they know that to enjoy the E-Jolt, it would be the Porsche Panamera Turbo S – with horsepower engines than can go from 0 to 60km/h in 3.2 seconds.

This was a refreshing take by Porsche to showcase their performance cars and we most definitely would have tried the alternative caffeine pick-me-up.
