Instagram adds “Recommended For You” posts to your feed

Instagram’s feed will now show users recommended posts – a change that has quietly gone live. According to Instagram’s help section, the “Recommend for You” posts are suggested according to content liked by the accounts you follow.

The “Recommended for You” section is not meant to displace the content you care about in favor of Instagram’s own suggestions. Rather, the section will appear after you’ve viewed all the posts in your feed.

Snapchat to develop “Stories Everywhere” to push content outside its app

Snapchat is developing “Stories Everywhere” to allow users to share Snapchat Stories outside of the app. This is similar to how Twitter allows users and publishers to embed tweets on other platforms. “Stories Everywhere” allow Snap to crowdsource users content around breaking news, sports game, concerts etc, an expansion to the current “Daily Stories” section.

Snapchat has also planned to redesign its app to be more user friendly and to add more content on their Discover platform, expand on distribution and to build on its News vertical.
