Putting Our People And Culture At The Heart Of Global Growth

Since Robin and I founded We Are Social in 2008, we have always believed that our culture is fundamental to delivering great work for clients and the overall success of the agency. Over the years we’ve worked hard to maintain a strong culture, and today (with 800 people in 13 different offices) it remains just as important for our teams around the world to ensure they feel very much part of the same family.

A happy and motivated group of people has a direct impact on the success of a rapidly expanding global business, so we’ve brought together our HR and Internal Communications functions into a new global People & Culture team. This group will support our diverse and talented employees around the world and play a big role in shaping the future of our network.

As part of these changes, I’m very happy to announce that Lisa Bain will head up the People & Culture team in the newly created role of Chief People Officer. As Global HR Director, Lisa has been an instrumental part of our global team since 2013, helping us to build an agency of hugely talented people while still retaining our unique culture. She has led numerous people-focused global initiatives, bringing employee engagement front-of-mind across the business, as well as working with individual offices.

Our internal communications team, Emma Cumming and Dorrie Mochan, will take on the roles of Global People & Culture Communications Director and Global People & Culture Communications Manager, respectively. In Singapore, Axil Cruz heads the People & Culture team. Together with Vivien Toh, People & Culture Executive, they empower our team on the little red dot.

In addition to the traditional human resources role, the People & Culture team will take responsibility for a broader remit including developing our workplace culture, supporting employee wellbeing across the group, and promoting We Are Social to talent across the industry. The team will also work collaboratively with each office to create globally-aligned, employee-first programmes that serve the needs of local offices and cultures.

Most importantly, the People & Culture team will see us prioritise a happy, inspired and connected team, enabled to do their best work. Our people and our culture will continue to drive our growth and success, which is great news for our clients, for all of us at We Are Social, and for those yet to join us.

We are always on the lookout for talented people, so if you’d like to join a company that’s proud to invest in its culture and people, check the careers page or get in touch.
