The role

The role will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery and communication of key HR activities in Hongkong, Malaysia & Japan which including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits and related initiatives. More importantly, he/she will strive to ensure ongoing maintenance of the overarching values and culture of the organization among employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Executive Management Team and line managers to review and assess resourcing needs across the teams and associated budgets, and develop hiring plans including candidate identification and outreach
  • Manage the offer process from the initial phone call to overseeing the drafting of all paperwork and contracts and candidate signoff
  • Ensure all new joiners are given the appropriate training on all internal systems as part of their induction
  • Manage the drafting of all related paperwork eg. promotion/salary increase confirmation letters, probationary review documentation, employment termination letters, etc.
  • Manage all HR administration. Ensure all employee-related data is organised and secure, and all related documentation is adhered to company data protection standards
  • Liaise with IT on setting up new joiner emails and related online accounts
  • Be the point of contact for leave-related matters with all employees
  • Oversee payroll administration including income tax and payroll calculations
  • Partner with the leadership team in Malaysia & Japan to establish appropriate strategic Human Resources programs unique to their global location and ensure compliance with member country guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Manage the global talent planning process while creating global succession charts in collaboration with Regional HRD

Requirements

  • 3 years or above of experience in the human resources profession
  • Well-versed with the HK Employment Ordinance is a must
  • Strong at recruitment and networking
  • Circumspect, proactive, organised, able to work independently with good time management
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin
