Requirements

The role will involve;

  • Guiding long-term growth objectives to meet business needs, requirements and positioning
  • Meeting new business targets set at the start of each year and managing the cost of sales in doing so
  • Proactively tracking new opportunities and emerging trends
  • Proposing and developing new ways of connecting with key brands
  • Following up on incoming leads in a timely manner
  • Managing the sales funnel and forecast
  • Presenting new business updates in the monthly company meeting
  • Be commercially minded to qualify profitable opportunities

Team collaboration

  • Working with the UK marketing manager and ensuring leads generated from the extensive events and marketing programme are connected in a timely and effective manner
  • Working with the teams contributing and/or leading the events to ensure that the funnel leads to sales opportunities
  • Work closely with finance and legal to ensure the commercials are sound and the contracts are watertight

What are we looking for?

  • You will have a prvoent record in business development
  • Have a background in digital content, preferably social, and have experience of winning and working with a number of household brands
  • You will have experience in dealing c-suite clients but be as comfortable and motivated when working with middle management
  • You will be commercially and industry literate
  • You will have experience of CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
  • You will be highly aware of our competitor set and be able to have a POV on industry movement and trends
  • You will be excited by the agency’s growth goals and your fundamental role in helping with this
  • You will be highly comfortable in wording and designing your own decks.
