New Media Age have just released their Top 100 Interactive Agencies 2012 report. The Top 100 is based on fee income, and just in time for our 4th birthday, we've made it into the Top 100 itself for the first time in 81st place (last time we were Ones to Watch).
What we're really pleased about though is that we came 9th in the most respected agencies table, amongst a host of much more established agencies, all of whom have built their reputation over the last 10 years or more (with agencies like BBH and W+K celebrating their 30th anniversaries this year).
As someone who's been in digital since 1996, it's a bizarre feeling to see We Are Social alongside those names in the table while a host of much bigger names that I grew up with like Profero, R/GA, Razorfish, SapientNitro and Tribal DDB are not.
Despite still thinking of ourselves as an unruly start-up, it's actually quite nice to know the rest of the industry no longer sees us that way...
