We Are Social is focused on creating ideas powered by people, not platforms – a formula that’s proven very successful. As the We Are Social network continues to grow, we are looking to build out a new Agency to help service a more diverse set of clients.
A key hire for this new Agency entity will be a Senior Strategist. They will be joining a team of brand thinkers with an implicit understanding of social media, delivering culturally-led strategies that result in more effective work for our clients.
As a new offering to our clients the ambition is to rapidly grow the business, further diversifying the group’s client list, it’s offering and creative output.
As this is a new venture, employees will have a tangible role in defining the agency’s positioning, it’s reputation within the market and growth. Due to that, we are looking for entrepreneurial and ambitious individuals to join the journey at this exciting formative stage.
About The Role
This is a senior client-facing role, developing creative strategic solutions for clients business problems as we help them navigate the rapidly evolving world of marketing and communications. A world where traditional models of advertising continue to be under threat and social media’s importance in the broader marketing mix becomes ever more significant.

As this team is a new, rapidly growing entity, the role will require a hands-on approach to not only deliver current client work, but help bring in new business, define the agency’s positioning and grow your strategy team.
What are we looking for?
7+ years previous creative agency experience in a strategic / planning capacity
Extensive experience of leading strategy on big client accounts
Experience of proactively managing a team of strategists of varying levels to develop them into the next generation of top talent
Experience of leading inter-agency collaboration and galvanising cross-agency responses to briefs
A creative thinker – proven track record in delivering creative solutions to business problems
An analytical mind with a hunger for driving business results for clients
Well versed in thinking in ideas, ensuring creative work is elevated beyond a collection of activations
Passion for wider communications/marketing trends and culture as a whole
Must have a good understanding in the power of social media and the broader digital ecosystem
Collaborative with a passion for delivering industry defining work
Someone who leads by example, but empowers their team to express themselves through their work
Willing to get in the trench with the troops if things get gnarly
