Back by popular demand, We Are Social will launch our 2016 Think Forward report at a special event on the 3rd of November in London. Think Forward is an overview of the trends that will affect social over the next 12 months and beyond. Along with IBM and Trendwatching, we’ll discuss what’s next in social content, culture, business and technology.
Here at We Are Social, we never tire of trying to see into the future. Future forecasting is characterised by relentless change and intense competition to predict what’s next and how our businesses can play a part. However, as marketers, we shouldn’t accept that the ability to reliably predict what’s next is an unachievable goal. We can make the future more accessible by looking at what changes are happening now.
In fact, we think this is so important that we do it on a regular basis. Our monthly Curiosity Stop has amassed a cult following through mapping some of the most exciting innovations every month, spotted by our 11 offices around the world. Many of the innovations from these reports have been used to inform the updated trends we have mapped in the upcoming report.
Since we published last year’s Think Forward report, we’ve continued to look at countless innovations to map the agenda for the coming year and beyond. We’ve been keeping a close eye on not just the innovations themselves, but the underlying trends driving them. Some of these trends include new, unique movements in the social space, while some are evolutions of the trends we mapped a year ago.
Think Forward is designed for any brand shapers, business creators and company leaders with an appetite for innovation. We believe that by looking at the smaller changes happening around us, we can better understand the bigger patterns they add up to, allowing us to find a role for our businesses and brands at the right time.
