Meta launches first AI-powered video tool

Meta is making its first AI-powered video tool available in the Meta AI and Edits app. The new “Restyle” option will allow you to completely change the context of your video clips. For example, you can use the AI filters to make it look like you’re in an animation or living underwater. There is not yet the option to use text prompts, but Meta has created over 50 presets that arefree for a limited time.
Instagram’s video editing app, Edits, has launched a helpful new teleprompter tool. You will be able to upload your script, and it will be displayed as rolling text right below the front-facing camera on your device.
Facebook has announced that all videos on the platform will soon be uploaded as Reels. The video tab on the app will also be renamed “Reels” and all video content will be in one place. While it makes no difference to the videos that are recommended to you, it might be a bit annoying for creators. For example, horizontal videos will appear in a vertical feed, and long videos will be mixed in with shorter ones. The change will be rolled out over the next few months.
Reddit has launched a new AI-powered tool called Reddit Community Intelligence to help brands tap into subreddit conversations without manual browsing. Brands will be able to test campaign ideas based on Reddit discussions and track brand sentiment across different communities.
YouTube is launching new shopping stickers on Shorts. Previously, users would see a shopping banner in the bottom corner of the video, but the new sticker is directly on the video and is editable by the creator. The sticker is proving successful with YouTube stating that Shorts with Shopping product stickers saw over 40% more clicks on products than Shorts with the Shopping button during the feature’s trial.
