Today, Reddit is set to begin its initial testing of its “video Reddit” experience. This will let users listen to Reddit posts in the background of the app while doing other stuff at the same time. The test will be on both video and audio posts across select communities and will focus only on English-language posts for now. It will launch first on desktop and on iOS and Android apps from tomorrow.
Meta expands AI-powered gaming app

Meta is rolling out its vibe-coding gaming app Pocket to users in the U.S. After an initial test in Brazil last month, the app lets you generate small games using AI prompts. These are then published to a scrollable feed for everyone to play. The games react to touch and tilt of your phone, play sound effects, can use photos from your camera roll and can include song clips.
YouTube updates CTV app

YouTube is making improvements to its TV as CTV engagement continues to grow for the platform. First up, bad news for those of us trying to quit binge watching. Creators are now able to turn their playlists into shows to make it easier for users to watch their content more like episodes of a TV show. YouTube has also added Show and Podcast tabs to the Watch page and added a new Shorts access point. There is also a new account locking feature, and improved QR sign-in flow and lots more small – yet helpful – updates.
LinkedIn uses AI to create clips from live videos

LinkedIn has introduced a new AI-powered tool that will recommend clips from live event recordings. The tool automatically picks the best parts of the live and puts them in a mini window for you to edit. The tool also generates chapters for longer recordings to help users skip through to specific sections. The tool is available now for all users globally.
