Instagram ‘exploring’ a version of app for kids under 13

Facebook is reportedly in the early stages of developing a kid-friendly Instagram app. First reported on BuzzFeed, Instagram’s VP of product, Vishal Shah said that Instagram wants to make the platform safer to use for teens and build a version for younger kids under the age of 13 where parents can have control or transparency.

The current age requirement to use Instagram is at least 13 years old. With the kid-friendly app, kids can keep up with their friends and explore interests safely under parental control.

Twitter is going all in on Spaces!

As Twitter seeks to improve their new Spaces features and get into the audio-only social trend, a dedicated tab has been planned for Spaces to help improve discovery and awareness of in-progress discussions.

Right now, Fleets and Spaces are tied together, but as Twitter aims to capitalize on the rising popularity of audio-only options, a dedicated tab would only be natural. With over 192 million daily active users, Twitter’s Spaces could eclipse the invite-only Clubhouse.
