The Opportunity

Are you an experienced, proactive resourcing professional looking for a fast-paced environment where you can apply strategic thinking to resource planning and management?

We are looking for a Resource Manager to join our existing Creative Services department. You will be responsible for ensuring all resourced individuals are booked and their time is managed and utilised efficiently. This role requires you to find creative solutions to everyday challenges, optimise budgets for your group, and strategically support Client Groups while considering how resourcing impacts staff welfare. You will be expected to work closely with department heads to ensure work/output quality is optimised.

Requirements

What You’ll Have Delivered Elsewhere

  • Liaised daily with Project Managers, Client Services, and multiple other stakeholders to understand all booking requirements across internal and external (freelance) resources.
  • Managed assigned departments daily, focusing on workloads, progress, bottlenecks, internal approvals, and meeting deadlines.
  • Managed deadlines for multiple projects and prioritised work for the agency.
  • Made recommendations on the best-suited resource for incoming work and liaised with relevant Department Heads for approvals.
  • Ensured all resources are aware of their daily work and the immediate time frame.
  • Attended and chaired weekly WIP meetings to gather a detailed view of the workload: interpret briefs, discuss casting, agree timelines, and prioritise work, pushing back where necessary.
  • Managed and optimised financial efficiencies for department(s), working closely with the finance department and relevant Department Heads.
  • Engaged and managed freelance relationships, negotiated/secured contracts, and approved bills/invoices, ensuring adherence to agency processes, including freelancer processes via platforms like Worksome.
  • Worked strategically with other senior employees on longer-term initiatives, including improved ways of working, processes, and the development of new tools.

  • Understands how resourcing impacts agency output, from quality to finance.
  • Experienced working across multiple, fast-paced teams, including creative, and handles pressure well.
  • Resource management tool experience is a plus.
