X is taking a stand against content copying
X is upping its game to put a stop to creators duplicating other creator’s content. The latest version of Grok AI can spot copied content thrice the rate of previous versions. And, if users try to trick the system, for example adding watermarks, intros or other edits, all monetised impressions will be sent to the OG creator. This also includes text posts. X has found over1.5 million posts that were stolen in its latest cycle and over $1 million in creator payouts will now be given back to the original creators of the stolen content.
The World Cup may be over but according to YouTube’s latest report, sports creators aren’t going anywhere. The new Creator Pulse report lays out key ways brands can work with sports influencers including ad options such as Takeovers and YouTube Select Line-ups. Creators highlighted in the report include Norwegian World Cup player Erling Haaland, and influencer, sports commentator and former college basketball player Rachel DeMita.
Threads is expanding its community post feature with the launch of “community flairs”. Flairs are icons and emojis that you can add to your community posts to make it even clearer what the post is about. For example, if you’re a member of the BookThreads community, you could add a rose icon to show that you like romance books. The flair appears under your username and all subsequent posts within that community will have the same icon by default.

This resulted in the reply section feeling more like a battleground with people you don’t recognize.” So, one step closer to actually seeing posts from the people you care about – or at least the people the people you care about follow!
X has launched a new ad option for brands to boost the reach of a post that mentions them. Mentions Boosts lets brands set an ad budget and duration to boost the organic post and customer endorsements into a paid campaign. To use the feature. brands will need to be signed up to X’s Premium Business plan, which starts at $200 per month.
Elon Musk, owner of X, has announced that the platform will open-source the apps codebase to increase transparency. On X, Musk said: “Once we have completed our review for security vulnerabilities, we will make the entire codebase of X open source, with no exceptions.” He added that X will also use third-party reviewers to check the system running in the app to confirm that the open-source code is what’s being used. Will it happen? Who knows. It certainly won’t be the first time Musk goes back on his transparency promises…
