The role

We’re looking for a culturally-connected Social Creative to lead social-first creative across major global and Australian brands. This is a hands-on leadership role that offers the opportunity to shape and deliver integrated, platform-native campaigns for one of Australia’s biggest retailers, alongside other high-profile brands.

You bring more than just social expertise. You understand how to build ideas that travel beyond feeds and into culture. You can think strategically at a brand level while still getting excited about the detail in a piece of craft, the timing of a trend, or the perfect turn of phrase in a caption. You’re as comfortable concepting a seasonal retail campaign as you are building an innovative approach for a tech client.

You’ll partner closely with strategy, editorial, design and production teams to turn insight into standout ideas and high-quality paid content. You’ll also help set creative standards across the agency — mentoring talent, shaping best practice and inspiring teams to push the work further.

Key responsibilities

Creative leadership

  • Lead the development of paid social campaigns and assets, from concept to delivery.
  • Translate cultural insight, brand strategy and platform behaviour into simple, effective ideas.
  • Keep a close eye on cultural moments, emerging trends and audience behaviours, ensuring content feels relevant, timely and worth talking about.
  • Use social listening and cultural intelligence to ensure content stays relevant, reactive and timely.
  • Champion craft, ensuring every output is polished, on-brand and fit for platform.
  • Present creative thinking to senior stakeholders clearly and convincingly.

Content creation & craft

  • Produce a high volume of best-in-class content across Meta, TikTok, YouTube and other channels.
  • Guide designers, editors and writers to bring ideas to life with consistency and quality.
  • Adapt concepts across formats and placements with a strong understanding of platform nuance.
  • Ensure creativity drives measurable outcomes across awareness, engagement and conversion.
  • Use social listening, trends and cultural signals to inspire reactive and proactive ideas.

Collaboration & growth

  • Work closely with strategy, client service and media teams to deliver integrated, effective campaigns.
  • Mentor and support more junior creatives, helping them sharpen their craft.
  • Contribute to proactive opportunities, campaign thinking and new business when required.
  • Help raise the creative bar for the client and the wider agency.
  • Actively share cultural insights, platform updates and trend knowledge with the wider team to keep our work ahead of the category.

While the specific content of your role is clearly defined, the nature of the demands placed on us by our clients means that this role will evolve over time and requires a “can-do” approach.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in creative roles within social or digital-led agencies.
  • Strong portfolio of paid social campaigns with proven commercial impact.
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, formats and best practice.
  • Confident storyteller who can articulate ideas simply and sell them persuasively.
  • Curious about culture, plugged into trends, and naturally aware of what people are talking about online.
  • Skilled in turning cultural insight into work that feels real and relatable.
  • Able to balance fast turnaround content with craft and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, curious, proactive and comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
