Instagram adds music to user profiles
Instagram has launched a new feature allowing users to add music to their profiles. The feature launched in collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter who released a teaser of her new single on her profile. A song can be added to profiles via “edit profile” and searching titles from Instagram’s music library. You can select up to 30 seconds of a song and other users can click play when they visit your profile to listen to the song.

TikTok partners with 2024 Paralympic games
TikTok is partnering with the International Paralympic Committee to launch a range of activations across the Games. TikTok will host a series of Live broadcasts including exclusive looks into the opening and closing ceremonies, tours of the venues, and interviews with the athletes. Each Live will also include opportunities to donate to Para sport development programs.

TikTok will also create exclusive content in-stream, while the official @paralympics account will feature on-the-ground tours of venues, interviews with athletes, and more. TikTok is also launching a limited-edition Phryge Gift which viewers can access by tuning into the Paralympics account.
LinkedIn rolls out new video carousels
LinkedIn is rolling out its in-feed video carousels. The videos are matched to each user based on in-app activity and details from their profiles. Once tapped, the videos will take users through to a TikTok-style full-screen video feed.

TikTok launches personalised AI voice-overs
TikTok has launched a new AI voice-over feature that allows users to use their own voices rather than the generic templates already in the app. Select TikTok users can now use the feature through the “Create Your Own AI Voice” option within the video editor. The voice-over feature works by users reciting a select number of phrases into their device, with the AI feature then using these phrases to create future voice-overs.

Instagram tests profile cards
Instagram is testing new profile cards with selected creators. The two-sided digital cards provide a QR code linking to your profile on one side, and a profile overview and summary on the other. The overview includes your profile picture, bio, profile category and any business links.
