WE ARE SOCIAL ASIA TUESDAY TUNE UP #266
Snapchat has announced the Snap Publisher tool for building vertical videos, and an Ad Manager to help clients better manage and optimise their Snapchat campaigns. As of today, Snapchat’s self-serve Ad Manage tool is officially available, and lets clients buy, manage, optimise and view analytics about campaigns. You will also be able to use all of Snapchat’s ad formats and targeting capabilities, manage creative assets, and have them reviewed by Snap for quality before they are published. Campaigns can be tracked via the Mobile Dashboard. A Business Manager function also allows billing and access levels to be catered accordingly to various team members. To get started, advertisers just need to fill up this form.
The Snap Publisher tool meanwhile, will only be available in July. The tool allows advertisers to build creative vertical videos, while offering Snap ad templates, and adds motion to static photos. There is even an option for A/B testing and lets advertisers buy ads through Ad Manager.

The new ads are available through Facebook’s Ad Manager and Power Editor, as well as through Facebook’s advertising APJ (Marketing Partners). Vertical imagery and video may be used of up to 15 seconds.
Grab-A-Gift, the world’s first Facebook Live controlled game
This was an interesting and interactive use of Facebook Live.
Grab-A-Gift is a campaign for Sports Experts, Canada’s top sports clothes and sports accessories retailer. The game involves an arcade crane machine that is controlled by Facebook Reactions during a Facebook Live stream. Likes move the crane left, Hearts, move it right, Laughs move it forward and Wows moved it backwards. Viewers are forced to work together, often calling it friends to join them to win the gift they want. Each gift that was successfully grabbed was won by a random participant.
