The role

We’re looking for a Creative Director to lead one of our most high-profile and creatively ambitious accounts: Samsung (global remit).

This is a rare opportunity to shape the creative vision for one of the world’s most exciting brands, with the scale, innovation and cultural influence to match. You’ll be responsible for driving creative excellence across all Samsung work, from social-first content to creator-led storytelling, inspiring teams and clients to think bigger, braver and more socially connected.

You’ll need to be deeply plugged into the pulse of culture, understanding what’s trending and knowing how to make those trends work for Samsung to connect with Gen Z and Millennials in a way that resonates and excites them.

You’ll lead, mentor and elevate the creative output of the Samsung team, partnering closely with the Creative Lead, Strategy, Production and Account Leadership to ensure everything we make delivers real impact in culture and for the business.

You’ll also help steer the creative direction of the wider agency, contributing to thought leadership, mentoring rising talent and pushing the boundaries of what We Are Social is known for.

Key responsibilities

Creative leadership

  • Lead the creative output across all Samsung workstreams, ensuring ideas are culturally relevant, socially powerful and on-brand.
  • Stay ahead of cultural trends, leveraging what’s hot in pop culture, memes, influencers and digital trends to fuel creative concepts that resonate with younger audiences.
  • Partner with the Executive Creative Director and Strategy team to define the overarching creative vision and platform for Samsung.
  • Develop and champion disruptive, trend-driven ideas that can live across multiple channels and formats, with social thinking at their core.
  • Guide the Creative Lead and wider team through concepting, development and execution, ensuring work consistently meets the highest creative standards.
  • Provide clear, constructive and inspiring feedback that helps teams grow.

Client partnership

  • Build a trusted partnership with senior Samsung clients, acting as a creative advisor and cultural sounding board.
  • Confidently present and sell ideas, from concept to execution, in a way that inspires confidence and excites the client, while always staying ahead of the cultural curve.
  • Understand the client’s business, challenges and ambitions, ensuring our creative solutions are both bold and effective.
  • Collaborate closely with account, strategy, and production partners to deliver work that’s beautifully crafted and flawlessly executed.

Team & culture

  • Manage, mentor and motivate the Samsung creative team, including the Creative Lead and key creatives.
  • Champion collaboration, curiosity and creative bravery across every level of the team, encouraging them to push boundaries and tap into new trends.
  • Foster a culture of learning, experimentation and inclusivity.
  • Help shape the broader creative culture of the agency, contributing to initiatives, thought leadership and inspiration sessions.

Craft & innovation

  • Push creative boundaries through innovation in storytelling, formats and use of platforms.
  • Stay ahead of emerging social, cultural and tech trends, and bring that energy into the work.
  • Advocate for the craft, integrity and originality of every creative idea, ensuring that everything we create reflects the pulse of today’s digital and social culture.

While the specific content of your role is clearly defined, the nature of the demands placed on us by our clients means that this role will evolve over time and requires a “can-do” approach.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in creative roles within leading creative or socially-led agencies.
  • Proven experience leading high-profile campaigns, ideally for major global brands.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating concept-to-execution excellence across digital, social, and integrated campaigns.
  • Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills: persuasive, articulate and inspiring in front of clients and teams.
  • A passion for social, culture and innovation, with a finger on the pulse of what’s next.
  • A natural leader: empathetic, decisive and able to elevate those around you.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects, timelines, and personalities with calm authority and humour.
