Social Media Week is kicking off all over the world next week. Only two years old, it’s now in nine cities, including our fair city of London, where We Are Social will be hosting five events across four days.

Here’s a quick run down of all our activity next week…

Tuesday 8th February, 8:30-10:30
Simon Collister, our Public Sector & Non-profit Director, will discuss the changes that social media is making to the environment that charities and third sector organisations operate in, and what they need to do to adapt.

If you fancy something more one-to-one, we’re hosting an open house on Wednesday afternoon. Representatives from all areas of the agency will be available for a coffee and a chat (which might be especially interesting if you’d ever wondered what it would be like to work at We Are Social – did we mention we’re hiring?).

We Are Social’s “Meet the Communities” with Mumsnet & The Student Room
Thursday 10th February, 16:30-18:00
Justine Roberts of Mumsnet & Jamie O’Connell of The Student Room discuss how brands can successfully, and not so successfully, engage with their large and influential communities. This is a great opportunity to listen and engage with two of the UK’s biggest online communities – not to be missed!

Given the immense popularity of Social Media Week (or perhaps some fortuitous scheduling on our part), three out of our five events have already sold out – if you missed out, we still have availability at our Open House and Meet the Communities events, but be quick as we foresee them selling out sharpish.

All our events will be held at our offices in Clerkenwell, except for the Facebook session where ActionAid have kindly let us borrow their meeting space due to extra high demand.
