Next generation media
Our friend Dan Calladine, Head of Media Futures at Aegis Media, has kindly agreed to share his latest Next Generation Media Quarterly with us. This time we’re especially chuffed, as he’s included our recent work for Heinz.
Every quarter I create a presentation to try to capture the most important stories and stats within digital media. Just in the 3 months from January we’ve seen:
- Smartphones become even more dominant – they’re outselling PCs now
- Twitter rise to ever higher levels of usage – although doubts are creeping in over who actually has influence
- Brands use Facebook for ecommerce (ASOS) and sampling new products (Heinz)
- Location based marketing driving sales for companies like Mazda
