We Are Social and we need a geek
We have grown up very quickly. When I joined We Are Social nearly two-and-a-half years ago it was eight of us crammed round a desk designed for six that we were renting off another agency, and we had to keep swapping laptop chargers as there weren’t enough to go round. Now we’re forty-five people in London alone, with an awesome office in Clerkenwell, and we are the ones renting deskspace to promising startups. We’re not just building a team of the best social media professionals in London, we’re also looking for a great team to support them – and that team includes a IT Manager based here in London.
Working in social media, it’s obviously important our internet connection and office IT are working in tip-top condition all the time. But those machines don’t run themselves, and we need someone to help with the essential task of making everything run smoothly – from first-line support for your colleagues to designing & improving our architecture and strategy so we can handle growth in the future. You’ll need to be an expert in supporting Mac OS X (desktop & server), Office for Mac and Google Apps and be experienced in network management and security for an office our size. People skills and a good bedside manner are essential. If you can code in PHP or Python, hack shell scripts in Linux, or know your way round Twitter and Facebook, even better. Agency experience is great, but we’re happy to take anyone with the right skills and mindset regardless of background.
