Social, Digital and Mobile in Nepal

Today’s selection of reports in the Social, Digital and Mobile in Asia series focuses on two small nations around the Himalaya: Nepal and Bhutan:



Although we struggled to find much data beyond the key country overviews, the fascinating video report below, from China Daily’s D J Clark, provides a fantastic insight into how the internet is changing the lives of people in this part of the world.

It’s a story that’s being replicated throughout Asia, from the Steppes of Mongolia to the rural villages of Indonesia.

However, perhaps the most interesting part of the report is the sites that people are choosing to visit, and the technology they’re using to access them.

It seems we are all social, regardless of where we live.
