Which brand took the Socialympics gold?

The results are starting to come in on which brands did well in the ‘Socialympics’ and I’m happy to say that it looks like our client adidas took gold. Or as they would say, #StageTaken.

The first report comes from the Gorkana Group in the form of this infographic:

The second comes from Sociagility’s London 2012 Social Scoreboard’s PRINT Potential Rankings, a metric that measures engagement:

And as you can see, adidas again takes the gold medal. Sociagility also looked into how adidas did against arch-rival Nike:

We compared adidas – a late starter in the ‘socialympics’ but the most experienced (and arguably most authentic) Games sponsor of all – with Nike, its well-heeled global rival with equally impressive authentic sports credentials. This showed that adidas out-performed in social media, especially in terms of the PRINT engagement criteria like Receptiveness and Interaction, despite Nike’s aggressive ‘Londons’ ambush campaign.
