Image sharing app Instagram has expanded rapidly in the last year, with almost 50% of internet users now on the app. The Facebook-owned platform has been one of the biggest success stories in the social networking space in recent years.
According to GWI's latest research, Instagram use has jumped by over 10 percentage points from late 2015. This means Instagram can now boast a reach of almost 50%.
Instagram’s continued success is testament to the appeal of more specialised networks and means it’s now extremely close to entering the top tier of major platforms.
