Are you flummoxed by Facebook Live? Perplexed by Periscope? Is recorded video doomed? Well fear not, film fans. Live Streaming 101 is here to make sense of it all.

Live streaming operates far beyond the traditional broadcasting model. At its best, it helps brands go from storytelling to storyliving; they can broadcast behind the scenes at big topical events to share footage people wouldn’t otherwise get to experience first-hand. Ultimately, this can bring consumers closer to brands and help drive deeper connections than would be otherwise be possible. But at its worst, live streaming risks being sloppy, poor quality and irrelevant.

For Live Streaming 101, we’ve gathered some of the best live streaming brains in the industry to share their tips on how to make live streaming work for your brand. What’s more, we’ll be offering a delicious breakfast spread and artisan coffee – food for thought indeed.

The morning’s speakers will include:

– Helen Lawrence, Head Of Creative Agency Development at Twitter

– Andy Dangerfield, UK Social Media Editor for BuzzFeed News

– Rebecca Dye, Social Media Manager, First Direct

Live Streaming 101 will take place on Wednesday 16 November 2016 from 8:15am to 09:30am at We Are Social, Alphabeta, 14-18 Finsbury Square, London, EC2A 1BR, UK. Tickets are free but spaces are limited, so if you want to be sure you’ll be on the list, register your interest on our Eventbrite page
