As you may have read in The Drum or Campaign Asia today, we’re extremely excited to announce the opening of our Beijing office, two years after the launch of our first Chinese office in Shanghai.

Beijing is a key city for marketing in China. As our capital city, it’s home to some of the country’s most high profile brands, such as Baidu, Lenovo and JD, all of which are headquartered in the city.

It’s two such brands, China Minsheng Bank and China Mobile, that have been the crucial driving force behind our new Beijing office. After winning China Minsheng Bank's integrated creative brief and China Mobile's Migu global launch earlier this year, it was clear that to deliver the work on the scale we wanted to, we’d need to build a presence in Beijing.

Just weeks later, we now have a team of 15 talented people in our Beijing office, working closely with our team of 65 in Shanghai, as well as the teams in all of our other global offices. Led by Wenny Qin who joins us from IPG's Golin Magic and Leslie Guo, previously Brand Director at Hanzhong Group, the team are already delivering first-class creative work. And we’re still growing, currently recruiting for a Senior Account Manager and Account Executive to join our team in Beijing.

We've had a phenomenal run in China so far - we’re now servicing 15 retained clients in Shanghai, a great achievement in just over two years. Our Beijing office gives us another platform for expansion in China, and we look forward to replicating the same success and growth here that we’ve experienced in Shanghai.
