Looking back over the last decade at We Are Social, the social landscape has evolved beyond recognition, and our work has matured to reflect this.
Creative content on social channels is no longer the poor relative of ATL. During the last few years in particular, we found that we’ve been increasingly producing high quality, innovative, multi-platform social content, from award-winning long-form documentaries to short, impactful videos. And we’ve found that a very specific approach and skillset is needed to do this well.
So, we’re excited to announce the launch of We Are Social Studios, a production company specialising in creating content for social platforms, which has now rolled out across a number of our global offices; London, Milan, Berlin, Munich and Paris. It will help us produce more great social content at scale, from a team of pure branded content producers who have first hand experience in dealing directly with global brands, along with an intrinsic understanding of agency process.
We Are Social Studios will enhance our capability for producing high quality, social-first creative content that we’ve become been known for over the last ten years, drawing on our vast experience of understanding people’s behaviour on social media. Our clients will benefit from having production involved from a campaign’s inception, all the way through the creative process to final delivery. Our team will be able to be more reactive on shoot days when spotting and responding to opportunities and it’ll help us be more agile.
We’ve got a strong team in place. Here in London, We Are Social Studios is led by experienced producers Peter Waite and Jo Lumb, who’ve produced commercial, brand-funded and broadcast content for some of the world’s biggest brands and broadcasters. They will work closely with the production teams in our offices around the world, along with an expanding network of global talent, from directors and editors, through to influencers and platform savvy contributors.
We’re already seeing a great response from our clients, who benefit from a specialist production company that works seamlessly alongside our social strategists and creatives. We’re looking forward to building on We Are Social Studios, and creating even better work in 2018 and beyond.
