Meta expands its AI Studio in the US

Meta is rolling out its AI studio to creators in the U.S. allowing them to make their own personalised AI-powered chatbots. The bot can be built to help with caption writing, post formatting and meme generation. Creators can keep the bot just for themselves or share it with other users. The chatbots work across Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and the web.

The AI chatbots can also be used for fan engagement by quickly answering common DM questions and story replies. The bots can also prevent unwanted interactions by controlling topics creators want the chatbot to avoid, turning off auto-replies and controlling who the AI can reply to.

Threads adds trending topic labels

Threads users in the U.S. will start seeing topic labels on posts related to trending topics. Users will be able to tap on the label and explore other posts related to that topic. The label window will also have “Top” and “Recent” tabs to filter posts. Head of Threads, Adam Mosseri, said the labels will make it easier to find posts and follow conversations that are relevant to users’ interests. Threads is also testing new customisable multi-feed options with a limited number of users on iOS.

Notes last for three days and can only be left by mutual followers, meaning the new tab would give users a new way to interact with content that friends have already commented on and join in on the conversation.
