Instagram makes DMs much fancier 

Sliding into DMs just got a whole lot more exciting for Instagram users. The platform’s latest update sees scheduled direct messages that you can pre-write and set to send on a later date, pinned DMs, the ability to invite friends to a group chat with a QR code, and message translations with support for 99 languages. And if that isn’t enough, people will be able to share music natively within the app so friends can listen to the same song simultaneously. Music to my ears.

Instagram helps creators make money from reviews 

More news from the ‘gram, as it’s helping creators make money by recommending products. ‘Testimonials’ allows creators to get paid via written endorsements, shared as comments on the brand’s social media posts and advertisements, whether that’s Reels or Feed posts.

Job ad of the week: Meta’s Community Notes 

Want to be a Meta Community Notes contributor? If you’re in the US, over 18 and have had  an account that’s more than six months old and in good standing, you’re in with a shot. Meta is now accepting applications from potential contributors who fit this criteria, whose job (unpaid, obvs) will be to write and submit a Community Note to posts that they think are misleading or confusing.
