Meta to launch Community Notes

Meta is set to release its version of Community Notes in the U.S. across Facebook, Instagram and Threads this week. The program will use a crowdsourced fact-checking system, similar to X. The feature will be tested and perfected in the U.S. before it is rolled out globally.
Facebook has announced monetisation for video content on Facebook Stories. For Select users, Stories will now bring in extra money, alongside their regular monetised content on the platform. For example, if a creator makes a Reel, they can share a snippet of it to their story and earn money on the story content, on top of money already earned from the Reel.
Snapchat is launching video generative AI lenses, powered by Snap’s in-house-built generative video model. There are three AI video lenses available to Snapchat Platinum users – the app’s premium subscription tier. Users can access the new Lenses through the Lens carousel by selecting a Lens, capturing a Snap, and then the AI video will automatically generate.
The latest Bluesky app update comes with a host of new features. Updates include being able to upload videos up to three minutes long, a new DM request folder added to the inbox, the ability to mute posts, and an improved layout for web users.
