Threads launches Ghost Posts

Threads has launched “Ghost Posts,” which are posts that disappear after 24 hours. These posts are auto-archived once the time limit is reached, so they will still be available to you, but gone for everyone else. You can create a ghost post in the Threads composer, but there are quite a few differences in posting. As well as vanishing, the ghost posts can’t contain photos, and you won’t be able to edit your replies to the post.
TikTok has launched a new AI-powered video tool called “Smart Split.” Using AI, it will find natural breaks in your content and then clip, reframe and caption it into multiple shorter clips. TikTok is also rolling out “AI Outline,” which can help you tap into trends by generating video titles, hashtags, hooks and ideas, based on popular content.
Threads has added new features that give users more control over how people can interact with their posts. Firstly, you can now turn on a filtering process that stops replies from being shown under your post until you have reviewed them. Threads is also adding new activity filters on your feed, which allow you to sort posts based on different engagement elements. For example, you can filter by “People you follow” or by “Mentions.”
Pinterest has rolled out new AI-powered recommendations, showing items you might like based on your saved Pins. The “Make it yours” recommendations will show fashion and home decor products, and the ”More ideas” recommendations will show related Pins for other categories, such as beauty, recipes, and art. Pinterest is also testing “Boards made for you” and has added a new AI assistant to make it easier to search for products.
Instagram is giving professional accounts new ways to measure performance with “Competitive Insights”. The option is being rolled out within the “Professional Dashboard”, and you will be able to choose up to 10 accounts to compare your performance against. It will not give in-depth breakdowns of performance, but will show numbers like posting volume, individual post performance, follower response, etc.
