We Are Social Expands to Madrid
Hola, España! We’re delighted to share that We Are Social has recently expanded to Madrid, marking the opening of our twelfth office across the globe. Spearheaded by managing director Alberto Pachano, the Spanish team will work with local and international brands including Bic and Lavazza.
“Spain is very well known for its creative talent pool,” Pachano said, adding that cracking the market has been an ambition for the We Are Social network for a while. “We already have a top-notch team in place and a solid plan to develop the office in such a competitive market.”
With a newly-created team of ten, Pachano will launch alongside David Sousa as creative director, who was most recently at VCCP Madrid. Pachano has also worked for Yslandia, Draft FCB and MPC and his work has won numerous awards, including at the Cannes Lions.
Gabriele Cucinella, Stefano Maggi and Ottavio Nava, the co-founders of We Are Social Milan and joint CEOs of We Are Social in Italy, will now also serve as joint CEOs of We Are Social Spain. The trio is responsible for identifying the Spanish market as a growth opportunity and for planning the opening in Madrid.
And Spain isn’t the only country to join the We Are Social family in 2018. In June, we announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Socialize, the Middle East’s largest independent social media agency. With key acquisitions around the world as a key part of the network’s growth strategy, each office is focused on offering a localised, tailored approach to clients within their market.
Nathan McDonald, Co-founder and Global CEO at We Are Social, said: “We’re extremely proud to be adding Madrid to our growing global network. We’re excited to bring our unique approach to clients in Spain, and also to offer our global and European clients dedicated local support from the extremely talented team in our Madrid office, under the stewardship of Gabriele, Stefano and Ottavio. Alberto also brings the perfect blend of experience for us to deliver our socially-led creative offering.”
