We Are Winning: The Shorty & The Webby Awards
We are stoked to announce that We Are Social has been recognised with several accolades at The Shorty Awards and The Webby Awards for our recent work on two Netflix campaigns.
Now in their 11th year, The Shorty Awards showcase the best in social media and recognise the most influential, popular, and culturally relevant brands, organisations, agencies, campaigns and influencers across the industry.
The Webby Awards, presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a judging body composed of over two thousand industry experts and technology innovators, celebrate the best of the best of the Internet.
Our ‘Yass, Australia’ campaign for the season two launch of the Netflix series ‘Queer Eye’, emerged victorious above all in the category of Entertainment. Yaaaasss, Queens! If you’d like to know more about it, check out our case study – but first, get some tissues.
Then ‘Calling All Wills’, our campaign to launch the first major Netflix Original movie ‘Bright’ starring Will Smith, not only won a Shorty in the Contest or Promotion category, it was also recognised with a Gold in Entertainment. Pretty cool, uh?! But that’s not all. The campaign also scored a Webby in the Promotions & Contests category. You can find out more about the campaign in this slick case study.
Big shout out to everyone in our team involved in these campaigns, our production partners Winifred and Will O’Rourke, but most importantly our client Netflix for enabling us to do the type of work we love and that makes us incredibly proud!
