Social Showcase: Samsung, Vodafone and more

Client work

Lucky folk that we are, we’ve been able to work on some incredible creative projects for our clients over the last few months. Here are just a few top highlights:

Celebrating 10 years of the Galaxy, with Samsung Global
To celebrate 10 years of the Galaxy, and introduce the latest additions to TeamGalaxy, our team in Sydney launched their first campaign for Samsung Global. It involved getting some seriously talented individuals to showcase their #DoWhatYouCant stories in a social-first series of films.

We worked with an impressive roster of stars, including Stranger Things Actor and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Millie Bobby Brown, self-confessed robot Miquela, two times Grammy-nominated DJ and cake-thrower enthusiast Steve Aoki, and the Fortnite legend aka Mr Esports, Ninja. #DoWhatYouCant aims to inspire people to go out and achieve the impossible – check it out below.

Helping Vodafone celebrate with Pride
Last month, Vodafone wanted to raise awareness of its support of the LGBTQ+ community and celebrate its involvement in Manchester Pride in the UK.

So, drawing on the fact that Vodafone is Stonewall accredited and has marched at Manchester Pride for the last three years, our team in London worked with the brand to create a 10-frame Instagram Carousel profiling the Chair of the Vodafone LGBTQ+ community, Ian Curtis, ahead of Pride weekend.

The series saw Ian taking a trip back to his favourite spots in Manchester,  all of which have impacted his life and journey. The activation was supported by Ian and his team taking over Vodafone’s organic Instagram Stories to share their experience on the day of Pride.

Kicking off the #ShakeItEasy Challenge for Vodafone Italy
Vodafone again! This time, we’re in Italy, where the brand wanted to lunch its new offering, Shake It Easy – a dedicated product for customers under 30 – in a way that would catch the attention of a younger audience. As part of the new offer, eligible customers can choose the package that best meets their needs and then, once they’re happy, shake their phones to confirm it.

To make the most of this unique method, and engage a Gen Z audience, our team in Milan created the brand’s first campaign on TikTok, the #Shakeiteasy Challenge. The challenge asks creators on the platform to show what they would like to change in their life by using the platform’s signature stop motion video style, coupled with Vodafone’s dedicated filter which shakes the user’s camera.

Our team also invited some key TikTok influencers to join in on the fun and create official content to boost the challenge and increase its visibility.

The #Shakeiteasy Challenge is still live, so head over to TikTok if you want to get shaky.

Making the Paralympic Games more accessible
A film about the Paralympic Games needs to live and breathe accessibility. It needs to go beyond physical disabilities to factor in issues like accessing the internet through older generation phones; whether or not fonts are easy to read; and being able to navigate the site without a mouse.

Utilising this understanding, our We Are Social Sport team in London worked with HTYT Films to create a best in class website to support the film which will chart the history of the Games, provisionally titled ‘Harder Than You Think’, built with accessibility in mind.

As a result of their work, the website has received certification that it meets the absolute highest possible industry standards for accessibility.

Showcasing the versatility of everyday products, with SPAR
SPAR knows it’s hard for people who are time poor and budget conscious to be able to focus on cooking meals for family and friends. But sometimes, small tips can make a big difference and help produce a meal that shows you really care.

So, to give SPAR’s customers a helping hand, our team in London took staple ingredients stocked in local stores and created a series of easy-to-make recipes for social.

The latest in the series is ‘Chicken Three ways’ and has been rolled out across SPAR’s Instagram, YouTube and Facebook channels, as well as the brand’s website.

If you’re feeling a bit peckish, check out the recipes along with others in the ‘Three Ways’ series on SPAR’s Instagram.
