Threads gains ground on X, reporting 400m users 

Instagram chief Adam Mosseri announced this week that Threads has officially hit 400 million monthly active users, a major milestone that puts it squarely in a head-to-head battle with X, which claims to have around 600 million monthly users. Meta continues to push for monetisation, with the recent addition of Threads Ads.

TikTok gets stricter with its Community Guidelines  

TikTok is updating its Community Guidelines to introduce stricter rules for AI-generated content and live streaming. The new rules prohibit harmful AI content regardless of labeling, hold creators responsible for all live broadcast content, and de-prioritise streams that direct users off-platform in an effort to boost its own TikTok Shop ecosystem. BlueSky also recently announced updates to its Community Guidelines, with changes driven by new global regulations.
