The Brief

Buy-Now-Pay-Later brand Zip needed to grow their brand awareness and to get Millennials to see their latest product, Tap & Zip, as an easy way pay everywhere, everyday – grabbing a coffee, filling up at the pump, or picking up the groceries.

OUR INSIGHT

Millennials want everything now: entertainment, food, shopping, experiences. The only thing holding them back is not having their paycheck, now. Zip allows them to have their money now and pay for it later, so that they can get more of what they want.

The IDEA

We brought together top Australian celebrities and influencers, and a truly iconic track, for ‘Can I Zip It?’. The campaign celebrates Zip as the most widely available BNPL service through a series of talent-led films featuring a catchy rework of the 90s anthem ‘Can I Kick It?’, running across OOH, radio and social media.

Our influencers helped to demonstrate the ease and use cases of the Tap & Zip product across many retail categories, driving salience at the point of purchase.

The campaign stretched across OOH (billboards, transit, retail), radio, online audio, online video and social (Facebook, Instagram and TikTok).

RESULTS

Driving brand awareness

Brand awareness grew by 6pt to 77%, outperforming the main competitor.

Piquing the audience’s interest

The campaign generated a 42% search uplift on YouTube

Building the brand

Can I Zip It? generated a whopping +21% brand lift on TikTok, vs vertical benchmark of 5%.
