Meta is one step closer to launching its latest subscription package on Instagram, with new features being shared on the platform’s Help Centre. These include Story Extend and Rewatch, which let your Stories last longer than the usual 24 hours and keep count of how many times your Stories have been rewatched. Meta is also testing adding links to captions and allowing Reel downloads.
TikTok is partnering up with Cameo, letting TikTok creators create custom videos within the app. ICYMI – Cameo is a platform that lets you request personalised videos from your favourite celebs. Cameo customers can now directly request videos from TikTok creators via TikTok itself. Creators who are on Cameo will be shown to users when they search “Cameo” in-stream.
Rumour has it that Meta’s Superintelligence group is close to launching its first AI models. Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, announced the Superintelligence group in June last year, generously wanting to “bring personal superintelligence to everyone”. After reaching out to some of the biggest names in AI development, Meta has now signed Alexandr Wang to lead the project. As per Axios: “Meta is preparing to release the first new AI models developed under Alexandr Wang, with plans to eventually offer versions of those models via an open source license, Axios has learned.”
Reddit is expanding access to its publisher tools, which give you different ways to share content and analyse post engagement. Tools include URL engagement insights, the ability to sync RSS feeds to the app, and AI-powered recommendations on subreddits that match your content.
