Instagram adds new pin comment feature

Instagram is adding the option to pin your own comments on your posts. Since 2020, you have been able to pin up to three comments from users in-stream, but only comments from others, not your own. Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said the new feature stemmed from a question during his regular “Ask Me Anything” videos. So, I guess it’s true – if you don’t ask, you don’t get.
X is expanding its encrypted DM feature, XChat, to more users. The chat lives in a separate DM inbox and is end-to-end encrypted. You can send images, create group chats, pin messages and a vanishing mode is rumoured to be coming soon. To access XChat, you need to opt in and set a four-digit code to protect your messages.
Snapchat has launched a new lens to create images using a text-to-image AI generator. Currently available to Snapchat+ Platinum and Lens+ subscribers, users can enter their own prompts to create an image and share it as they wish. And when inspiration just won’t strike, the Lens also has pre-loaded prompts you can use.
Threads is rolling out a new in-stream counter for posts within a Thread. The feature will display a thread count on linked posts, letting you know how many posts are in the thread and where you are up to reading. Basically, it means no more having to write “1/3” or use the thread emoji on your posts.
