Lenovo chooses We Are Social

As you may have read in Adweek, MediaPost, Campaign or Campaign Asia last week, we’re delighted to announce that Lenovo has selected We Are Social as its global social media agency of record. The Lenovo team picked We Are Social following a four-way competitive pitch.

Commenting on our appointment, Rod Strother, director, digital and social centre of excellence for Lenovo, said:

We were particularly drawn to We Are Social’s dedicated social media offering. Their team lives and breathes conversational marketing, and at the same time they understand the importance of weaving social media into the heart of an integrated marketing approach.

He went on to say that,

As part of our partnership, We Are Social will be providing strategic support and advice to Lenovo’s in-house social media team from across our global network, led by the teams in our Singapore and New York offices.

A central part of our role will be helping to develop a long-term strategy that spans all social media channels to help drive Lenovo’s overall business objectives.

We will also collaborate with the brand’s internal teams to create a global calendar of relevant content, recommend and implement suitable metrics and measurement tools, support worldwide product launches using social media, and provide a full crisis management consultancy service.

These activities will all integrate with Lenovo’s wider marketing strategies, with coordination between the company’s above-the-line, PR and retail/experiential agencies.

This really is a full-scale social media programme – everything from campaigns to research; content creation to crisis management – and we’re thrilled to be able to harness the full power of We Are Social’s global network to enable us to offer this kind of service to clients.
