Everyone knows the best way to bond internationally is over strong drink, extreme sports and instagram; #weareskiing, now in its second year covered off the lot, setting the stage for an awesome four days in the Austrian mountains. If you need proof see for yourself.
On Thursday last week 150 people from the London, Paris, Milan and Munich offices of We Are Social arrived in force in the sleepy village of Aschau, Austria, armed with smartphones, skis and Jagermeister.
When the time came for a couple of drinks, squeezing into a tiny local nightclub aimed at local 15 year olds was a challenge both for us and the bar staff! We discovered this also was true of the now infamous hotel Room 33 (and its stuffed marmots).
Up on the mountain things were equally eventful, whether beginner or expert we all found new friends in bruised backsides, burning thighs and accidental off piste incidents, even those that involved a search and rescue helicopter!
Skiing, partying and imminent hotel ejection aside, the trip was a fantastic opportunity for everyone across Europe to share the great culture of We Are Social, get to know each other and ultimately have an awesome time.
Enormous thanks must go to Jonna and everyone else involved in organising the trip and whatever surprises came along the way. It was certainly one to remember…
