We Are at Social Media Week London
Social Media Week London is fast approaching, and this year the We Are Social team will be running, or taking part in, three awesome events. Here’s the lowdown of when and where to find us and how you can get involved.
The Greatest Social Media Pub Quiz in the World
Tuesday 24th September, 6.30pm
Last year it took Social Media Week by storm. And now, the “The Greatest Social Media Pub Quiz in the World” (with help from our friends at Ticketmaster) is back, at 6.30pm on Tuesday 24th September. We’ll be testing everything you thought you ever knew about the world wide web by taking an irreverent look at social media in 2013 – the highs, the lows, the #winners and the losers.
The event is really close to selling out, so if you want to grab one of the last few tickets, visit the Social Media Week site and sign up. You can come alone, or with a ready formed team (of less than 8). And if it didn’t sound good enough already, there’s a free bar so you can drink as you think.
#KittenCamp
Tuesday 24th September, 6.30pm
If pub quizzes aren’t your cup of tea (or you have a strong desire to see Robin Grant in a dog costume), head over to Foundation bar in Covent Garden to see Robin take on the #KittenCamp team in a meme battle to the death, also on 24th September. Robin will be taking on the role of the LOL Puppy in an attempt to topple the Meme Master Meow by battling over a series of the best videos, gifs and vines.
If you’ve never been to a #KittenCamp before, to get a flavour check out this article about its July event in San Francisco – then sign up for a ticket here. Oh – and there’s free beer. And cats pictures.
Social Media Content Smackdown
Tuesday 24th September, 11am
Our Content Masterclass event for Social Media Week, hosted in the official Social Media Week hubs, sold out in a matter of days. However, it’s proven so popular that we’re planning on running another at the We Are Social offices in the next couple of months so drop us an email if you’d like to register your interest.
The Social Media Content Smackdown came about after we did some research into what the hot topis are at the moment around social media – and content came out top by far. So we decided that the subject would make the ideal basis for a Social Media Week.
The lucky people who did get tickets will hear how three major brands produce social media content in three punchy 10-minute presentations, then get the chance to ask the brands and the account directors how they made it happen in intimate roundtable discussions.
