Online Christmas sales grew to around 20% to £17.37 bn in the UK last year, and now account for a quarter of festive shopping spend – a trend that seems to be going in only One Direction.

We’re in the run up to the busiest time of the year for retailers. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday approaching, festive online shopping demand is building up to be the biggest yet. It’s time for brands to get up to speed on their relevance to one of the most significant audiences when it comes to the all-important Christmas list – Gen Z.

With teens already deciding what’s cool this Christmas, getting your online marketing strategy right has never been more crucial, and nailing social comms is a massive part of this. There’s a very fine line between cool or cringe and ‘being down with the kids’ can be a dangerous territory for brands. That’s where we come in.

At Gen Z 101, we’ll draw on our experience of working with the likes of Beats by Dre, adidas, Phones 4 U and Cornetto, to show attendees where, when and how brands should be talking to Gen Z on social. We’ll cover how to successfully establish your brand on one of the most important platforms for teens right now – Snapchat. We’ll also hear from Coca-Cola senior digital marketer Kata Bleyer, about how one of the world’s most iconic brands makes its marketing relevant to Gen Z.

Tickets are now available here for the event, which will run from 5.30-7pm on Wednesday 25th November at We Are Social’s new offices in the Alphabeta Building in Finsbury Square, London. We’ll be covering:

With all this, we’ll set you up for talking to a generation that constantly evolves language. We look forward to seeing you there.
