Enter the world of Valerian with BNP Paribas

In January, BNP Paribas announced its partnership with the upcoming Luc Besson movie, ‘Valerian and the City of Thousand Planets,’ due to launch in July 2017. Throughout the partnership, BNP Paribas plans to offer cinema fans in Europe exclusive experiences at every stage of the making of the movie until its release, giving people the opportunity to enter the world of Valerian.

We were delighted to help to kick off this work, creating the digital platform valerian.bnpparibas. Here fans are offered a first glimpse into the universe of the film.


The website allows fans to delve deeper into the world of Valerian, and aggregates all of the social content around the film and the partnership, with the hashtag #WeLoveValerian and #Valerian.

The site features exclusive content including behind-the-scenes videos of the making of the film, as well as a series of sci-fi articles that cover a variety of societal and cultural topics – ‘Life in 2740’.



Visitors can also take part in the ‘Moviepass Quest’, transporting them across time and space in search of scattered pieces of a MoviePass. If fans put their Moviepass together, they will be in with a chance of winning an exclusive day at the Cite Du Cinema, where the film is being made. They will get to visit the film set and meet with professionals from the world of cinema.
