TikTok tests editing options for uploaded videos
Say goodbye to missed typos and forgotten background noise. TikTok is testing a new feature that allows user to delete and re-edit videos after posting. The re-edit feature will only work on edits made in-app, so if you’re a CapCut user you’re out of luck.
X is working on separating DMs from the rest of its app features
Currently, if you want to DM someone on X, you need an X account. But, X owner, Elon Musk has revealed that the app is currently working on “decoupling” DMs from public posting. This means that if you want to just use X for messaging, you can. It also means you can block users from messaging you, without blocking their profile – which I guess is useful.
DMs are being decoupled from public posting, so that if all you want to do is use this platform for messaging, but not post publicly, you can do so https://t.co/Z1hBwjcYJa
Meta can now use public posts for AI learning in the UK
Meta has gained approval to use users’ public posts as part of its AI training in the UK. This includes public posts, comments, photos, and captions from users over the age of 18. The AI model will use these interactions to get a better understanding of “British culture, history, and idiom”.
