THE ROLE

We Are Social is looking for an Executive Producer to join our team! You are the strategic leader of the WAS Production team, bridging the gap between high-level departmental vision and flawless execution. You are responsible for managing the overall production strategy for many workstreams, overseeing complex financial budgets, and scaling the department’s operational growth. By implementing new strategies and mentoring a robust production team, you ensure the agency remains at the forefront of efficiency and creative excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Proactively solve big picture project and business problems on your own and update management retroactively after issue has been resolved
  • Forecast team capacity and project health across multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring resource allocation aligns with both client needs and staff bandwidth
  • Be a trusted partner in meetings, providing authoritative reporting on departmental status and resourcing
  • Lead high-impact client presentations and new business Q&A sessions, serving as the definitive voice for agency production capabilities
  • Collaborate with Group Account Directors on long-term account planning and high-level client strategy to ensure production approaches are both innovative and sustainable
  • Ensure that all key stakeholders are kept informed and (if needed) educated on the production process
  • Ability to understand SOW’s with clear scope, risk, assumptions and deliverables and review those drafted by project management.

  • Lead advocacy for improved communication and work processes across disciplines
  • Lead process discussions and proactively suggest improvements, inclusive of budget trackers, timeline templates, resourcing grids, etc.
  • Own the end-to-end financial lifecycle for projects, including OOP budgets of $1M+ and deliver accurate builds with minimal oversight
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential budget overages and scope creep before they impact the bottom line
  • Partner with Finance and Account leads to oversee complex reconciliations, ensuring 100% accuracy in staff fee structures and hour breakdowns
  • Create staff fee and hours breakdowns accurately with minor input from management
  • Elevate the creative by bringing solutions to keep good ideas alive and help tell stories in an innovative way
  • Build trusted relationships with outside partners and have a wide network of resources for a variety of work
  • Leverage AI within Google Workspace and enterprise tools to accelerate the development of resource plans and new business opportunities
  • Define and drive the departmental AI roadmap, ensuring AI tools are deeply embedded into the production process to create measurable value
  • Physically attending shoots and understanding this role may consist of 25% travel 

Requirements

  • 10+ years of production experience within an agency environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Expert-level knowledge of the end-to-end production process for both digital content and large-scale experiential activations
  • Exceptional presentation skills, capable of leading “New Business” pitches and communicating departmental issues to the Senior Leadership 
  • A “solutions-first” mindset with the ability to resolve complex project roadblocks without needing immediate escalation
  • Technical familiarity with advanced AI integration for project management and resource forecasting
  • Confident and positive with a ‘can-do’ attitude
