Company Overview:

Our growing team is seeking an Art Director to join our squad of socially-led thinkers, doers and creators. We are looking for a first-class AD who can create groundbreaking, culture shifting digital and social work that helps us drive our vision to make Ideas Worth Talking About. This candidate (hopefully you) should be fluent in tasteful design and aesthetics. They’ll know that a good idea only becomes great when you make authentic connections that spark real conversations.

What you’ll do:

You will contribute to, and oversee, excellent digital and social design work for clients within the Entertainment industry. You are not only absolutely obsessed with the latest and greatest tv shows, movies and have all the different streaming services, but you’re also extremely active on social platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok, and are in tune with all the latest digital memes and social trends. You understand that nailing the look of “native” social trends is as nuanced as nailing sophisticated “high design” trends, and can pivot your personal aesthetics seamlessly to match the designs needs of various clients and campaigns. You take part in cultural conversations, industry conversations, and brand conversations, especially around movies and television. You know what’s happening: who, where, when, and why. Your friends turn to you to explain what’s happening on TikTok, Instagram, and other social media as well as what to watch and where.

Specifically, you will need to:

  • Have a strong interest and experience in working in social and digital with a heavy focus on the entertainment industry
  • Be actively familiar with social platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok
  • Call yourself a TV nerd and movie/film buff and understand TV/movie fandom
  • Generate conceptual ideas, innovations, and contemporary design trends while using all the tools and design programs of the trade
  • Demonstrate strong typography and layout skills for beautiful comps, decks, and presentations and Google Slides
  • Oversee creative execution of designers and copywriters, including heavy motion and video assets
  • Prioritize deliverables and manage multiple deadlines
  • Establish look/feel for campaigns and content formats and be able to switch between multiple look/feel and projects seamlessly
  • Understand the fundamentals of visual storytelling, storyboard ideas, source timecodes

What your experience looks like:

  • 2-3 years working at an agency, studio, or comparable experience overseeing designers specifically in entertainment
  • 5+ years of experience in social media
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment, working on multiple projects at once
  • Proficiency across Adobe Design suite, including After Effects and Premiere
  • Provide a portfolio showcasing your skills and experience within the entertainment social space
  • Knowledgeable in the TV and Streaming social marketing landscape
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communicator and collaborator
  • Comfortable with fast-paced integrated entertainment agency environment
