A campaign not to be sneezed at


One thing we love here at We Are Social is using the best of young British talent to produce some cool social media campaigns. Recently, our Red Bull team featured some amazing photographers in their Instagram campaign, and now the Kleenex team is looking for some talented young designers to help us re-vamp that household staple – the tissue box.

We’re looking for up-and-coming designers, or just those who love showing off their creative side, to help us, and Kleenex, refresh the trend-led Limited Edition Collection Cube designs. So, in partnership with internationally renowned designer Kelly Hoppen, we’ve issued the country’s design community with a brief to create the some new, fresh box designs.

However, it won’t be up to us to decide who makes it to the supermarket shelves, as Kleenex is putting the final decision about which designs will go on-shelf to its Facebook fans. This is really exciting for us, as although we’ve hosted plenty of competitions and games on Kleenex’s Facebook page before, this will put the ultimate decision into the hands of Kleenex’s social community – a Kleenex first!

We’ve already seen some incredible entries come in through Talenthouse, an online community of young creative talent, as well as from other young designers from all around the country.  However, it’s not to late to enter, so if you’re a designer looking for your next challenge, or just love showing off your creative side, submit your ideas before 29th April. You could see your designs on mantelpieces around the UK before the year is out.

After the finalists have been collated, the social vote will be live on the Kleenex UK and Ireland Facebook page on the 9th May.  Winners will be announced on 16th May – each of the three winners will win £1,000 each, in addition to getting their designs in-store.  So, what are you waiting for?  Out with boring tissue boxes – join the Kleenex revolution!
