Meta expands its AI translation tool

Meta is expanding its AI translation tool on Facebook and Instagram to dub the audio in your Reel into another language. And, to prevent any awkward timing issues, the tool uses AI to match up the sound to the movement of your mouth. Currently, you can only translate between English and Spanish, and it is rolling out to Facebook creators with 1000+ followers and all public Instagram accounts.
Instagram has added a new retention chart metric for Reels. Creators can look back on their Reel’s performance and see exactly the moment that your audience loses interest – great news for your self-esteem! But, before you check your results and get completely disheartened, Instagram has reassured that you’ll always see a downward slope.
Meta is continuing to develop its AI offering with its new partnership with the AI image and video generation tool Midjourney. Meta will be able to use Midjourney’s technology for its future models and products, and in turn give Meta’s tools a big upgrade.
