We’re proud to be a multi award-winning agency, with Cannes Lions, One Show, Webby and Shorty Awards, to name but a few. Our most recent work has seen us help Amazon Music, Samsung and Adidas deliver some of their biggest and most innovative campaigns to date.
As well as creating for clients, we help educate the wider industry. Our Instagram publication The Feed tracks culture at the speed of social. 6,500 people registered or tuned into our events last year, and our reports garnered more than 20 million views. We also produce industry renowned thought leadership such as our Global Digital Report and Think Forward.
The Opportunity
One of the best known and respected agency brands in the industry, We Are Social is a true global leader and disrupter. We’re looking for an experienced, talented and passionate Global Head of Marketing & PR with an in-depth knowledge of the ad landscape (social media in particular!) who can support our ambitious growth plans.
You will be responsible for elevating our brand positioning across all external touchpoints – from PR to events, thought leadership to social channels and more – driving awareness in conjunction with growth objectives. You will collaborate with our global teams to showcase our best work – the ‘ideas worth talking about’ – and cement our reputation as the world’s most social creative agency, and the most creative social agency.
This role is part of We Are Social’s growth team, and reports to the Global Chief Growth Officer.
Requirements
What You’ll Have Delivered Elsewhere
- Developed and implemented integrated global marcomms strategies aligned with growth objectives.
- Overseen all marketing communications activities, including PR, digital marketing, content marketing and brand management in a future-focused environment.
- Established and maintained strong relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
- Overseen the creation and execution of marketing campaigns and events across multiple channels to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
- Been accountable for marketing and PR performance, identifying areas of improvement and optimisation.
- Defined the marcomms budget, and been accountable for its allocation and management, including tracking expenditures against plans.
- Overseen a centralised structured system to collect credentials, case studies, and marketing materials for the benefit of global, regional and local teams.

- The ability to lead communications in a fast-paced environment with multiple global stakeholders.
- Increased the reach and recognition of an agency amongst clients, prospects and the wider industry via compelling communications, content and events.
- Secured positive media coverage and industry recognition for the organisation’s expertise and creative work.
- Experience in working with / managing large-scale industry events presence, such as SXSW, Cannes Lions, etc.
- Strengthened an organisation’s thought leadership position.
- Experience in using communications to drive new business leads
- Created and managed owned events to drive reputation and build relationships.
- Managed and mitigated reputational risk of an organisation.
